    The Woman in Me
    Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

The Woman In Me Britney Spears Memior

Disclaimer: As this was a memoir and a story of someone's life, I will not be rating this nor will I leave a traditional style review. I will leave comments of how it made me feel and what I thought stood out. I do not want to put a rating and assign entertainment value to someone's personal life, struggles, and thoughts.

My thoughts: I grew up in the time of Britney Spears. My first CD was her first album. I watched everything play out from the media’s side and always felt like there was more behind the scenes. I did not realize how much she actually went through. As a mom, I cannot imagine putting my child through what she went through or having to go through the things she did with her kids. Do I think all of her decisions were good, no. But do I understand why she felt like she needed to make them, yes. It’s an extremely sad story. I waited so long to read it because I heard that she had a tacky delivery of the things that happened but after reading it, I don’t agree with it at all. She takes accountability for her actions throughout it while telling what she felt others did at the same time. To me that takes courage to do.

Note: I keep my traditional/full reviews on my blog: lamplightchapters.com
